How to Turn a PRD Into Jira User Stories

One of the fastest ways to lose clarity after writing a PRD is to dump the whole document into Jira and hope the team turns it into good tickets later.
That usually creates one of two problems:
- the tickets are too vague to estimate
- the tickets are so detailed that nobody can see the release clearly anymore
